Our dog Roxy (yellow lab) blesses our daily life with her unfailing love. She lays with me when I meditate and checks on us in a thousand ways throughout the day. I am amazed how much she senses just what is needed. She came to us through a chance encounter in an MRI waiting room - coincidence? Fate? Or a tangible gift of compassion for a very ill husband and his wife?

My dog Ringo is also a buddha; he sat with me this evening on the zabuton - which to me is a rather expensive meditation mat and to him is just a nice springy dog friendly bit of cushion. I sit close to my altar with its Buddha and Quan Yin and other small precious objects and he brings an old sock and a dog biscuit, his own objects of daily veneration, and his simple unconditional love, my dear little dharma companion.
Hurray - will be happy to have you there! And aw Ralph loves socks too (although he's partial to ours, not old ones...) - good to know that we both have such loyal Dharma companions 😊🐶
